In June 2026, Montenegro will become the epicenter of the global discussion on the future of management and organization.
From June 3 to 6, 2026, Hotel Maestral in Pržno will host the 8th International Conference on Management and Organization (ICMO 2026), held under an exceptionally relevant theme:
“Sustainability by Design: Redesigning Strategy, People, and the Digital Future.”
The conference is organized by a strong coalition of regional and international academic bodies: the Montenegrin Academy of Management (MAOM), Slovenian Academy of Management (SAM), Croatian Academy of Management (CroAM), and the University of Montenegro – Faculty of Economics Podgorica.
A key partner and patron of the event is the global Academy of Management (AOM), whose support confirms the international significance and quality of the gathering.

Theme: Sustainability as a Design Principle
The conference motto, “Sustainability is not an endpoint, but a design principle for the future,” emphasizes a shift from treating sustainability as an add-on toward embedding it in the very core of strategies, organizational cultures, and digital solutions.
Discussions will focus on how organizations can reconcile economic growth with environmental responsibility and human well-being.
Program Highlights
The program will include 10 thematic tracks, covering topics such as:
- Strategy and sustainable organization (paradoxes and complexity)
- The role of people, HRM, and well-being in distributed work environments
