The Montenegrin Academy of Management, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics Podgorica, University of Montenegro, and with the support of the global Academy of Management (AOM), is organizing the seventh MAOM workshop titled Developing Reviews and Conceptual Papers in Management and Social Sciences.
The workshop will take place from May 30 to June 1, 2026 at the Faculty of Economics Podgorica, University of Montenegro, with sessions held from 17:00 to 21:00.
The program is designed for academics who want to develop high-quality literature reviews and conceptual papers aligned with the standards of leading journals. It integrates best practices, reviewer- and editor-informed insights, and the strategic use of contemporary AI-powered research tools.
The workshop is structured around three in-person modules: Designing a High-Quality Review (May 30), From Literature to Theory (May 31), and Writing and Developing a Paper Trajectory (June 1). By the end of the workshop, each participant will have a sharply defined research question and a defensible paper development strategy that can be used as the foundation for a full paper.
The workshop will be led by Dr. Ivana Vranješ, Assistant Professor at the Tilburg School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Tilburg University. Her research focuses on workplace mistreatment, technostress, digital communication, and employee well-being in contemporary organizations, integrating frameworks from organizational behavior, social psychology, and communication sciences.
The workshop is intended for PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty members in management and social sciences who want to strengthen their skills in designing rigorous reviews, developing strong conceptual contributions, and working more strategically with literature and theory. Participation is free of charge with the support of the Academy of Management (AOM).
