MAOM Workshop 6 – Building Theory and Corresponding Research Designs through 5M Successfully Delivered

The Montenegrin Academy of Management successfully delivered the sixth MAOM workshop titled Building Theory and Corresponding Research Designs through 5M – Advanced Quantitative Analytical Techniques in Management Research, organized in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics Podgorica, University of Montenegro and with the support of the global Academy of Management (AOM).

The workshop was held from October 6 to October 9, 2025 at the Faculty of Economics Podgorica, University of Montenegro.

The program was led by Prof. Matej Černe (University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business), who guided participants through key aspects of theory building and the alignment of theoretical frameworks with empirical research designs.

During the four in-person sessions, participants explored topics including hypothesis development, construct clarity, and the positioning of research within existing literature. The workshop also provided applied training in advanced quantitative analytical techniques, including mediation, moderation, moderated mediation, and multilevel analysis.

Practical sessions included applied data analysis using SPSS and the PROCESS macro, enabling participants to implement the discussed analytical approaches within their own research projects.

Through this combination of conceptual discussion and practical application, the workshop supported participants in refining theoretical frameworks and strengthening the methodological rigor of their research designs.

Through the MAOM workshop series, the Montenegrin Academy of Management continues to promote methodological development and research excellence within the academic community.
