The Montenegrin Academy of Management, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics Podgorica, University of Montenegro and with the support of the global Academy of Management (AOM), successfully delivered the fourth MAOM workshop titled Econometrics Workshop: Canonical Identification Strategies for Empirical Management, Finance, Accounting, and Economics.
The program was conducted across five sessions, beginning with an online introductory meeting on June 23, 2025, followed by four in-person sessions held from June 27 to June 30, 2025 at the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica.

The workshop was led by Dr Stefan Marić, Assistant Professor at Bentley University (Boston, USA). Throughout the program, participants engaged in practical training focused on applying econometric identification strategies to empirical research questions.
Participants worked with real-world datasets and implemented methods such as fixed-effects and dynamic panel models, instrumental variables, difference-in-differences approaches, synthetic control methods, and regression discontinuity designs. Live coding sessions in Stata, R, and Python enabled participants to gain hands-on experience in applying these techniques.
The workshop concluded with a capstone team project in which participants presented their empirical analyses based on the methods covered during the training.
Through the MAOM workshop series, the Montenegrin Academy of Management continues to support the development of advanced research skills and the application of rigorous empirical methods within the academic community.
