Methodological Fit in Qualitative Research: Theoretical and Practical Aspects

The Montenegrin Academy of Management (MAOM) is organizing a workshop titled “Methodological Fit in Qualitative Research: Theoretical and Practical Aspects”, which will be led by:

Prof. Dr. Ivana Milošević (College of Charleston, USA)

Prof. Dr. Ivana Milošević is an Associate Professor at the College of Charleston. Her research focuses on qualitative methodologies, particularly in the areas of corporate social responsibility, organizational reliability, and firm growth. She has published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Management, Academy of Management Review, and Journal of Organizational Behavior.

Prof. Dr. Milorad Novićević (University of Mississippi, USA)

Prof. Dr. Milorad Novićević is a Professor of Management at the University of Mississippi. He is the recipient of the Richard M. Hodgetts Award, presented by the Academy of Management, in recognition of his contribution to management history research and the academic community. He has published over 170 academic papers and teaches courses in management, international business, and strategic management at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels.

This interactive workshop consists of four modules and will focus on:

1. Designing high-quality research studies

2. Positioning theory in research projects

3. Data collection and analysis across five qualitative approaches

4. Evaluating qualitative research and ethical considerations

The first two modules will be conducted in person on February 10 and 11, from 17:00 to 21:00 at the Faculty of Economics, University of Montenegro. The third and fourth modules will be held online, with assignments and structured feedback. The schedule for the online modules will be determined during the first module.
